Menace say Thanks.

They say giving gratitude is just so human. Appreciation of all the things that we receive everyday is beneficial in order for us to be happy with the things that we currently have. It is not forbidden to aspire for things that can keep us moving, but there is this greater joy in living every moment that comes into our lives with a significant level of appreciation.

According to Men's Health Philippines (February 2008 edition), We gain greater amount of optimism everytime we pay gratitude to everything we receive- good things or bad things.

So as my manifestation of my belief of positive attitude towards everything, it will be a weekly routine now for me to pay my thanks yous(sssssssssssss).

For this week, I would like to thank for:

1. My family's health, especially my mama recovering from her really bad cough.
2. My sister for lending me the money to buy my phone's Micro-SD memory.
3. Makoy for giving his constructive critisms about my blog.
4. The payday =)
5. For you, my raiders, for the continuous support and readership in our Greenfields.

Thank God for this life and everything that comes with it.=)
So start paying your gratitude now. I tell you, its really good for the heart. =)

"Photo Field" hit 02

Here now is the second installation of the photos I took during my college photography class. Take note again that these are all un-retouched and not manipulated in any way.

The Skeleton House
"I like the effect of natural sunlight here."
From a Child's Sight.
" This is one of my favorites. This shot was taken inside our university. Its sad that this boy looks hungry."

The Veterans Game
" Hmmm I know what you're thinking, good subject, bad framing. I know, i know."

The last installation of this photo edition will be posted soon!
And as for me, Im still saving for that hot Digital SLR I am so long aiming for.

From a Woman's Chest

An interesting phrase I saw in a woman's shirt inside the train this morning.

"I am not ignoring you,

you're just insignificant."

Pretty bitchy.=)

BOng SumbOnG.( Bong tipster)

I can really see him coming. Bong Sumbong will soon be seen here on the greenfields to blabber his violent criticisms and wild take on things that happen around our society and it peripherals.

The face of this buddy will soon be seen here too. I hope that adding him here will fully maximize my potential of serving the aim of my primary goal in creating this blog-- "to articulate what is discreet"

We're all waiting for you Bob.

Hope you'll share my cheers for our up-coming Greenfield "character".

Black Hearts?

I dont know what's wrong with Valentines this year, but I just noticed that not so many people wore red today. Not that I am expecting the world to be red today, but I am expecting Lovers or Love aficionados to be blunt about celebrating Valentines day. Am I getting this idea that red as a Valentine color is now outdated or ahm adulterated? Or is it the infection of Clear shampoo's Black Valentine Campaign? Hmmm can we now use any color to carry the message of Valentines? Oh well, this is not really the focus of this post.=)

This Valentines, I know a lot of people will obtain "Valentine tags". And here, I will present my list of characters that can possibly exist this love love and love day.

The Traditional Happy Lovers.
This kind has already endured the test of time and splurts of bad attitude manifested by each other. They are soooo comfortable with each other, they can fart and burp even if they are near each other. Today, they will see each other after their individual engagements and go directly to a fancy food house and simply celebrate their love.
Sweet.

The Flirt
This kind does not stick to one partner. They are too amazed by their looks, they tend to share it to all good-looking people with the aim of finding their best fit partner on the basis of looks and sexual appeal only. They are so much drawn to their fetish. Beware.
Sleazy.

The Losers
This kind posted their profiles in all love connection website there is. They always have that "please bump me into my love tomorrow, please? please? hayyy please?" part in their nightly prayer. They never had a date but wish for one. They never sleazed out, but wish they could. They never experienced having a relationship with a human being. They are never frustrated. And we can expect that they will roam the web and the world to find love.
My heart goes out to these people.

The love makers
I know many areas will be congested today, especially Pasay and Sta. Mesa Because Love makers will surely flock the love houses. These are people that meet only every heart's day to express just how 'intense' their love is. They are all passionate and they're always 'expressive' about what they feel. They can also be too graphical when they "kiss and Tell". They usually keep some "explicit" content in their mobile babies.
Red hot.

The " I don't Care"
This is my favorite category. People who dont care at all. They know no special sentiment about Valentines. They will consider this day as a normal one- boring even. They find dating funny and maybe senseless. They are full of blank emotions. They are very passive. They will not laugh at good jokes. They will not praise good food or awesome dance numbers. They will not turn their head into people who are supposedly tagged as "head-turners". They are basically dry. But they are dead full of character.
No glory.

Now, where do you belong?
I'm not telling my category.=)
Everyone, from my greenfields to your hearts, Happy Valentines day!

Hmmm, I'm still wondering why not so many people are wearing red today...

Stop and Stare

Whenever I see people in thin dirty clothes roaming around the streets with blank faces, I can't help but feel sorry for them. At the same time, the idea of the world being so unfair always sparks up. I know that it is hard to live each day worrying what to eat or whar food to order for lunch. But, imagine the agony of these street people having the ordeal of dreaming to eat even just a piece of bread. I really strikes me. I would always stop and stare and be thankful that I was born with a family that can provide my needs. I am lucky. I am thankful. They say that everytime we feel the hunger, a cell in our brain dies. So, imagine being hungry all your life. I just don't get the point of food being a basic need, but some people are challenged to acquire it. We can always find a lot of factors to blame for this. But, I believe that what we have right now are all products of what we have done in the past. But, always I will hope that we will soon have a government that is aware and disturbed of our current situation.

It is really easy to help. We are always intrigued by those people preaching inside public vehicles asking for donations for their hospitalized love one. We always think that they are all forms of bad syndicates or evil gimmicks. But, what if the person is really in need? If you're a working individual, would you mind sharing some coins to help?

here's an article that i read from Adobomagazine.com just this morning

In the UK, The Guardian (June 5, 2007) reports:
As 70 percent of Filipinos have inadequate access to clean water, the result it a public health disaster. Every year, according to the World Health Organization, some 16,000 Filipino children die as a result of inappropriate feeding practices.

and this is one good time to say "reality bites, hard."

the Jumper

I am really fascinated with fiction flicks. They have this genre of giving hope to that child in all of us in our fantasy of owning our own super powers. I am actually a great follower of TV series that entails powers and extra-ordinary abilities like Heroes, Charmed and yeah, even Sabrina the teenage Witch.=) A bunch of gratitude I pay to the advancement of Special Effects technology, these fantasy visuals are now made even better. You know, digital effects now seem to be more realistic and organic. My own favorite super power is teleportation and flight. The reason why I am so happy when Monster radio gave me tickets to the Monster Movie Premier Of "JUMPER". The story revolves around species who possess the gift of teleportation. To better articulate the plot, here's the movie gist that I copied from my premier ticket.

Jumper
From the Director of
The Bourne Identity and Mr. & Mrs. Smith

David Rice always believed he was perfectly ordinary--- until he accidentally discovered he possessed a "talent" that is nothing less than extraordinary. David is a "JUMPER" who can teleport himself to the streets of New York and Tokyo, the ruins of Rome, and the summit of Mt Everest. He can see twenty sunsets in one night, whisk his girlfriend around the world in the blink of an eye, and grab millions of dollars in a matter of minutes. But David's global odyssey takes a deadly turn when he finds himself relentlessly pursued by a secret organization sworn to kill Jumpers. Forming an uneasy alliance with another Jumper, David becomes a key player in a war that has been raging for thousands of years. As these world-changing events unfold, David begins to discover the secrets and mythology behind his incridible ability.

Now, tell me if this plot is exciting or what?

The premier is bound to happen tonight @ Glorietta Mall and I am soooo excited.

Now, this will start me making movie reviews. Hmmmm.. we'll see about that.
