Young Folks
Dished out to us by Peter, Bjorn & John
Seasons of Love
6th day of the Christmas month
19 degrees recorded atmospheric coolness in urban air
It’s time to experience my favorite season of the year again.
I don’t know, but it feels like everyone is taking it slow during holidays.
We don’t mind the traffic
We often max out on our money power
Just to give the best gift to our loved ones
It’s the time when giving is a trend.
I like the cold weather
I like the glowing decors everywhere
I like the Christmas songs playing in anything audible.
I like the waking up for the 9 mornings.
Though it happens every year,
We still seek to have a better definition of Christmas all the time
This year has been challenging for me
As it has been challenging to our country.
A prayer can equal to the most expensive gift man can ever afford
A prayer especially for the innocent people of Maguindanao.
A prayer for the people who survived the storms.
A prayer for everyone – May we all have a blessed holidays this year.
A happy season of love to you all!

Japan Japan
I am almost born Japanese – This is how I feel.
I don’t know, but I have this warm feeling about Japan
and all of the things that emanates with and from it.
Not that I don’t like being Pinoy or anything,
but Japan just feels so close to my skin.
I like Japanese food. I like the way that the dishes
come clean to the taste and the flavours are very eclectic.
Many friends I know would not dare put raw fish in their mouth,
but I just love the genius preparations of their food.
I am so inspired by Japanese architecture.
I am very keen on their principle of minimalism.
The simple interiors and the subtle presentation of accents
are just so nice to see, I can just imagine living within it.
The Japanes principle on running any system is also fascinating.
It is not too deep of mechanical –
Remove the useless: simple principle that works wonders.
We can’t deny the fact that Japan is leading the world economy.
I just want to witness the cherry blossoms.
I want to see this side of nature’s majesty.
From today, until forever
I will start my project Japan Japan Save up!

Efren Penaflorida
Human is naturally uncontainable.
Human needs grow as our capability to have our resources grows.
In a world where money and power prevail, would idealism still work?
Will humanity still prevail?
Well, I may not have the Nirvana of elation right now, but I still owe it to myself to stay clear and naturally elated.
Now we, as a nation has something to be genuinely happy for and it comes with a name

The End of Oprah
Well, looking at the silver lining of it all, we are excited for the new Winfrey show that shall air on her own network, with a very fitting name OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).

Inspiration
Inspiration is beyond concepts and tangible stuff, it is that natural drive that excites you. It is the adrenaline that never dies. It’s not just happiness, it is fulfilment.
Inspiration is Manny Pacquiao proving to the world that Filipinos can break away from stereotyping.
Inspiration is 2012’s plot that bites some significant segments of reality. It makes you think how human can be so resilient just to get ahead, but then again the movie simply wants to evoke humanity.
Inspiration is episode 9 (season 1) of Glee. I have this heart for the underdogs, but the story did not overuse the idea of compassion and empathy, it deliberately injected logical reasons on how we should treat each other as equals.
Inspiration is the old lady that I always see in my daily commute. I believe she’s on her late 70’s, but she’s always in the road selling some pasteurized milk. I would always see her eat her plain rice from a plastic she keeps in her pocket. I could just imagine the struggle she has that forces her to work, instead of staying home. I’m not even sure if she has a home.
I would include the 40 years of Sesame Street as one of my inspiration, but I thought it would kill the flow of drama, so forget I even mentioned them.

Green Three
Prelude: I don’t care what you think, but I will tag this article as my 2nd year Blog anniversary post. (2nd anniversary commenced last October 22)
This is is like a cycle,
I’ll get busy and forget updating my blog.
Then I will find some significant reason (or excuse) to revive it.
Oh well, going back to the first day I started this blog,
I recall that my aim was to kill some slack time.
But things have changed.
(Try to get emotional, and then proceed)
I want this blog to have its purpose.
I won’t stop with mere SEO,
this time, I want this blog to reflect me.
I won’t push with efforts to get the news first,
but I would always try to update you with essentials of an urbanizta.
Also, I want to broaden the voice of this blog.
It may look laid back and casual, but you can expect substance.
Now, I have to stop creating promises and just move forward for the 3rd year of this blog.
Yes, I typed it right!
Hold on to your crotch, I mean your keyboard as we go and stride towards
the beautiful expectations I have for The Menace Year 3.
I would like to tap the backs of those people who continuously read this blog.
You guys know by heart how much I appreciate your daily hits in this tiny
space of blogosphere.
Now, I gotta rest, some indulgent specie actually turned off the lights and Im having a hard time composing more words. Besides, I know you don’t want to read me for more than a minute. So go, close your browser, fix your nose and get a life!
