BOYS NIGHT OUT OF MAGIC 89.9

boys night out

Ever tuned in at Magic 89.9 lately? Well, Im sure you have heard of this crazy trio currently ruling the Philippine airwaves with the show called Boys Night Out. Forefront wits are Sam YG, Tony Toni and Slick Rick. Now playing during the driving hours of 6-10 PM, the boys used to do the show late at night because of the somewhat “sexy” premise of their program. Now that they’ve bounced into an earlier time slot, Manila traffic jam will be less stressful now.

Try tuning in (if you haven’t yet) and hear SOP- Opz not that sleazy thingamajig, but Samantha on the Phone. Samantha is a traffic reporter from traffic.com. Her stuff during Boys Night Out’s real time traffic report changes from a normal journalistic approach to a little sexy tone. I find it really cool. Imagine hearing a HUGE traffic jam in EDSA? Normally a guy driving would frown, but with Samatha saying it sexy- I guess the reaction is quite known already.

One famous segment of the program is “Confessions Sessions” where a listener can send in their sexy times stories twisted with some melodramatic accounts. Really its like the infamous Xerex done in a classy way. Actually the segment’s pseudo name is “Radyo tabloyd” – with these, you known how the segment goes right?

Spontaneous wits, lively programming, manly stuff, impeccable (sometimes corny =)) jokes, and good choice of playlists, some of the many reasons why you should listen to Boys Night Out. I know i haven’t articulated much because that might sound like a queer fan, listen (Magic 89.9) for yourself or visit their Multiply account (boysnightout899.multiply.com). Try calling them and the boys will ask you “tigasan ka?”

Can I just say that Boogie Nights, the show that started what is Boys Night Out of today, is still the best show ever aired on radio.

Pinagpupuyatan ko pa yun nuon. :(

I miss the King DJ Logan-Slick Rick tandem.
